Kent has designed technology systems and operational procedures to increase efficiencies and gain strategic advantages for well over 100 insurance and healthcare entities. He has led the redesign of business processes, developed strategic systems plans, and managed the migration of systems from mainframe to client/server environments. He has also managed the development and implementation of several large Internet-based systems and has created multiple commercial software products.
Under Kent’s guidance, clients have achieved productivity improvements as high as 300% in the processing of medical and dental claims. He has also developed a well-known administrative benchmark and best practice process, called the Degree of Administrative Management, for evaluating and measuring the performance of healthcare operations.
In 2000, Kent launched MedInsight, which is an industry-leading healthcare decision support and population management software product. MedInsight serves health plans, at-risk provider organizations, and public entities and has operations in several cities in the U.S. and internationally.
