Mark has over 30 years of employee benefits, retirement and financial services experience gained in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
He is an expert on benefits and retirement practice in each market in the region, which he gained from single and multi-country project experience of benefits review and optimization, flexible benefits design and pricing, retirement plan design, retirement actuarial valuation, retirement and benefits administration, benefits communication, pre-M&A benefits due diligence, and post-M&A benefits harmonization.
Mark served as signing actuary for multiple clients across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, including GOSI, for actuarial valuations for accounting, funding, and statutory purposes. Valuations include retirement plans, gratuity plans, post-retirement medical plans, long service plans, long-term incentive plans, and insurance plans.
Mark has provided actuarial support across industries and has deep experience particularly of the oil and gas, FMCG, and financial sectors.
Before joining Milliman, Mark headed the Willis Towers Watson’s benefits consulting business in South East Asia for over seven years with teams in five countries.
Previously, Mark headed up Swiss Re’s life and health actuarial team in Singapore, providing reinsurance and product development advice to insurance clients across Southeast Asia.
Mark oversaw the life and pensions operations of Swan, the leading financial solutions provider in Mauritius.
He also worked as a benefits consultant for Mercer in London, providing benefits and retirement consulting advice to a portfolio of multinational clients.
Mark started his actuarial career with Aviva in Norwich.
