This report summarizes the results of our survey of a number of U.S. insurers on practices related to loss recognition testing under U.S. GAAP. We received 31 responses from 28 companies, and respondents included a variety of life, health, and annuity insurers and reinsurers of different sizes and engaged in different lines of business.
