This paper looks at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation's bundled, or episode-based payment models and finds opportunities for employers, challenges in implementation, and services to target. Trending at an unsustainable rate, health care costs are forcing employer plans to look for new methods in cost control mechanisms, different from traditional cost controls.
