Prior to joining Chicago Health, Sarah worked at Milliman’s Philadelphia Health Research Practice. She currently manages several teams, focusing her efforts on helping clients navigate the ever-changing commercial healthcare market. Sarah performs market analyses, trend analyses, product development, pricing, and strategic risk management activities for a number of commercial healthcare companies. She helps a variety of clients, including insurance companies, provider-owned health plans, employers, and administrators. Examples of Sarah’s expertise include the following:

• Supporting organizations in navigating the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)
• Performing feasibility analyses for multiple carriers considering expanding / contracting markets
• Designing new products for several commercial carriers to help shape their risk profile and optimize the ACA’s risk adjustment program
• Empowering ACA issuers to maximize profitability by identifying data-driven process improvements in risk adjustment
• Assisting health plans in several states with ACA individual, small group, and large group pricing and filing
• Developing financial projections and evaluating financial statements
• Building and maintaining multiple Milliman tools and models utilized by multiple teams around the firm for pricing engagements
• Supporting Milliman’s Health Trend Guidelines and developing appropriate methodologies for trend projections
